MEMBERSHIP

Interested in becoming a member of the First Company Governor's Foot Guard? Start the journey by filling out a membership application to join the marching ranks or the band.

No prior military service is required however it is always welcome.
All new members will be assigned to the training platoon under a veteran officer for training which includes drill, manual of arms, military courtesy and proper wear of 1GFG uniforms. Additional training occurs annually every summer annually at the state military facility in Niantic. 

 

We encourage all applicants to join us at an upcoming open house to meet members and learn about continuing the legacy of the nations oldest continuously serving military unit,  chartered in1771.
